Bishop John Harrower is the recently retired Anglican Bishop of Tasmania and is currently working part-time assisting Archbishop Philip Freier in his role as Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia. Bishop John was educated at the University of Melbourne and worked as a petroleum engineer and industrial consultant. He then moved to Argentina with his family as a CMS missionary, working with university Christian groups.He was ordained in 1984 and returned to Australia in 1988 to become the Vicar of Glen Waverley and Archdeacon of Kew. He was  appointed as Bishop of Tasmania in 2000.
