We would like to seek a person for the above position to join our ministry in the heart of
Melbourne City.
Looking for someone of integrity with the evangelical faith, we seek someone able to
preach and lead in English, and oversee the mission and spiritual life of our English
ministry. Proven pastoral experience will be an advantage.

About Gospel Hall Melbourne
Gospel Hall Melbourne is the oldest evangelical Chinese church in Melbourne as well as
the whole of Australia. Originated during the Victorian Gold Rush era, it has over 150
years history. It was the fruit of the Wesley Mission who spread the gospel to Chinese
miners.
As the first sect of the Methodist (US-Israel Association), Mei Ling started the mission
and related ministry in the city centre with Gospel Hall as its base. As the number of
Chinese congregations increased after joining the Uniting Church in 1977, the church has
since moved its Sunday Worship to Wesley Church on 148 Lonsdale Street.
Until this day, Gospel Hall continues to be a place of worship for English congregations,
prayer meetings, evangelical workshops etc., at its original birthplace in Chinatown. The
church symbolizes the past and present glorious works of God and will remain a blessing
for the City of Melbourne.
