About the Role
Children/Families Minister
Part-time
To build on our current ministry to children/families and develop it further so that it will grow and flourish in the future. These include:
- Develop and implement Sunday children’s ministries.
- Teaching children on Sunday mornings, the monthly Messy Church.
- In consultation with the Vicar, developing long term vision for children’s/families ministries at St John’s.
- Carefully connect with and develop relationships with the parents of children attending Sunday School, Messy Church, & with the students/parents attending the dance classes held at St John’s.
The successful candidate shall possess the following attributes:

- Passion to live and minister in accordance with God’s Word.
- Genuine concern for, and willingness to serve others.
- Empathy and good listening skills.
- Perseverance in the face of challenge.
- Well-developed emotional intelligence.

About St John’s Anglican Church
St John’s Bentleigh is in the Marmingatha Episcopate of Melbourne Diocese, in the Glen Eira Deanery. The Parish covers parts of postcodes 3204 (Bentleigh, McKinnon, Ormond East) and 3165 (Bentleigh East).
