Children and Youth Minister
Full-time
We are looking for a committed Christian to join our staff team in 2024 and oversee our children and youth ministry. This is currently a full-time paid ministry position. There is scope to make it part-time where there would be a focus on children’s ministry (up to Year 5).
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic oversight, program design, and effective implementation of our Sunday Kid’s Church, including training and support of volunteer leaders.
- Strategic oversight of Wednesday morning playgroup and collaboration with parent volunteer leaders for design and implementing program.
- Strategic oversight, program design, and effective implementation of youth ministry, including training and support of volunteer leaders.
- Pastoral care for children and youth where needed.
- Continuous improvement and review of programs and events across children and youth ministry at Good Shepherd.
- Consideration given to the development of new ministries that seek to connect with youth in our local community.
- Assist in overall strategic planning for the Good Shepherd and the implementation of our mission, goals and values.
About Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Curtin
Good Shepherd is a growing, medium size Anglican Church located in the geographical centre of Canberra. We currently have a membership of around 100 children and youth, of whom around a third are under 8 years old. More information can be found on our website at gschurch.org.au.
