Richard Trist

After completing a Science degree at the University of NSW, Richard began his working life as a school teacher in rural NSW. He moved to Melbourne to work with CMS Victoria as Youth Officer and began part-time studies at Ridley College.
After sensing God’s call to be ordained and completing his BTh and DipMin at Ridley, he served in various churches in Victoria and overseas - St John's Camberwell, St John's Cranbourne, St Hilary's Kew, All Souls' Langham Place (London) and St Mark's Camberwell. He has been an Examining Chaplain for the Diocese of Melbourne and a member of General Synod.
As well as his ministry at Ridley overseeing those training for ordination in the Anglican Church, Richard works part-time as the Training Officer for the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (EFAC).
Richard has a passion for preaching and teaching the Bible and building up the church through evangelism and discipleship. He sees growing vital leadership for the church as crucial for its future. Richard and his wife Glenda are also committed to offering support for church leaders and their families, to help them with the rigours and challenges that Christian ministry often brings.
