Senior Lecturer in New Testament
Doug grew up in the Chicago area. He studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois and worked as an engineer for two years before studying at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. After receiving his Master of Divinity, Doug ministered in a Baptist church in Western Australia, where he was ordained. Later, he completed his PhD in New Testament at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, under I. Howard Marshall. In his ministry at Ridley, Doug is eager to excite his students about God’s word as much as he is excited by it.
He is ordained in the Baptist church and married to Robin, an Aussie girl born and raised in Victoria.
